Emotional Health

Emotional health is about how we feel, think and behave. Looking after your state of mind is as important as taking care of your body, yet most of us manage our physical health much better than our emotional health.

A young persons’ counsellor is at The Parallel, three days a week. You can be referred by a professional like Parallel staff, school nurses, GP, etc.

What’s counselling?

Counselling can help young people who have problems with moods, feeling depressed or struggling to cope with things. It could be all sorts of things: bereavement, exam stress, bullying, problems with friends, parents or relationships, etc.

You get time, one-to-one, with someone who’ll really listen and help you work out your issues and problems.

They’ll also help you get in touch with other professionals and agencies if you need it.
